The aim of the ERASMUS FLAGSHIP project, promoted by the first STI2D class, is to define a low energy consumption modular housing. After 3 months of work on the definition of needs, a group of 5 students and 2 teachers will join the other 4 countries working with them on this project in Tenerife. The program of the week is loaded with visits: the island El Hierro, island completely autonomous energy, the ITER (Renewable Energy Technology Institute) and a tidal stream. Groups will also work on their needs definition with an English presentation of their research.
After this week, they will continue their project with a common definition of the type of modular housing needed to implement the practical design with the research of materials and energy supply. Another group of students will go to Duisburg, Germany in April.
